Dear Associates,

 

It gives us immense pleasure to share the update with our associates based in India (Cyient, IEITS, IHAL) who are covered under group mediclaim insurance scheme that we have renewed the insurance with United India Insurance Company Limited as the lead insurer for the year 2015-16. Also, associates now can exercise an option to take enhanced top up cover at their cost from National Insurance Company Limited at significantly lower rates of premium. Our claims will continue to be administered through Family Health Plan Limited (FHPL) as the TPA.

 

The significant features of the renewed coverage are as below will be effective from
1 April 2015.

 

•  Sum Insured coverage for parents has been increased from 50% to 100%

•  New Joiners parental coverage will be effective from day one (date of joining)

•  Maternity Coverage has been increased to Rs. 45,000/- for caesarean and Rs. 35,000/- for normal deliveries.

•  No waiting period for new associate or spouse’s of new associates to avail maternity coverage.

•  Attractive premium rates for enhanced top up cover. (Optional and subject to 10% of associates opting for the same)

Basic coverage and Insurance premium contribution for base cover is as follows:

 

Up to Level 12       :   Rs. 2.50 L -  employee contribution: Rs. 3,335/- per annum

                               (Recovered in 4 quarterly instalments)

 

Level 13 and above :   Rs. 3.00 L - employee contribution: Rs. 4,002/- per annum

                               (Recovered in 4 quarterly instalments)

Top up cover options: Significantly higher top up cover at 20% lower cost compared to last year.

 

We have further negotiated very attractive rate for availing top up covers on same terms and conditions as existing coverage. These rates are subject to 10% of the associates opting for this top up coverage. We will enable link in HR online to exercise your option for top up insurance as per details in table below. The entire amount for top up cover will be recovered in April salary.

Please choose your option for top up by 1 April 2015. To enroll log on to à Mycient à Quick Links à HRonline à Homepage à Medi-claim - TOPUP ENROL. The insurance companies would not extend coverage for top up after this initial enrolment period. 

 

Mediclaim cards

Associates can continue to use the existing Mediclaim cards issued by FHPL (already available on website of FHPL) till 20 April 2015. You may also be required to produce Company ID card for additional validation by the hospitals. New cards of UIICL can be accessed from FHPL website: www.fhpl.net after 20 April 2015.

 

Associates opting for top up cover will get additional card for the top up cover.
